GEZELİM GÖRELİM RÜSTEM PAŞA CAMİİ

Rüstempaşa Camii Mısır Çarşısı'nın birkaç adım ötesinde Osmanlı İstanbulu'nun gerçek bir örneği gizli: Muhteşem Süleyman'ın Baş Veziri ve damadı Rüştem Paşa'nın camii.

Cami padişah tarafından 1561 yılında, Süleymaniye Camii'nin inşaatı bittikten sonra Mimar Sinan'a yaptırılmış. Rüstem Paşa Camii pek ziyaret edilmeyen, ama belki de şehrin en alımlı camii. İçindeki eski halılar ve Osmanlı seramik sanatının yükselme dönemine ait çinilerin üzerindeki zarif desenler inanılmaz güzelikte. Pazarların bir arada bulunduğu mahallenin kargaşa ve gürültüsünden sonra, caminin sessizliğinde zaman durmuş gibi geliyor.

Rüstempaşa Mosque

The mosque was built by Architect Sinan by the order of the emperor in 1561 after the construction of Suleymaniye Mosque had finished. Although the Rustem Paşa Mosque is not frequently visited, maybe it is the most attractive mostjue of the city.
