Taksiyarhis Kilisesi-Cunda Adası
1873 yılına tarihlenen Taksiyarhis, Cunda'nın metropol kilisesi. Bizans stilindeki yapının Cunda Adası'nın geleneksel sokak dokusuyla ve neo-klasik evleriyle büyük bir uyum sergilediği görülüyor.
Taksiyarhis Kilisesi, yapısal özellikleri, iç mekanlarda sıkça rasdanan mermer işçiliği, dinsel temalan konu edinen tavan süslemeleri, İsa'nın yaşamından kesider sunan ikonaları ve balık derisi üzerine yapılmış eşsiz azize portreleri ile kesinlikle Cunda Adası'nın en önemli tarihi eseri. Ziyarete kapatılan kilisenin devasa çanı Berlin'deki Bergama Müzesi'nde sergileniyor.
Taksiyarhis Church-Cunda Island
Taksiyarhis, dated as 1873, is the metropolitan church of Cunda. The church, drawing attention with ornamented yellow stone is located in the line with the fount downwards. It is visible that the church in Byzantium form is in great harmony with traditional street structure and neo-classical houses of Cunda Island. Taksiyarhis Church is certainly the most essential historical monument of Cunda Island with its structural features, marble craftsmanship frequently seen in internal area, ceiling ornaments with religious motives, icons demonstrating sections of life ofJesus and unique saint portraits on fish skin. The huge bell of the church, which is closed for visits, is being exhibited in Pergfltnum Museum in Berlin.
